Priorities
As your next Dallas ISD District 4 Trustee, Prisma will be focused on:
The Whole Child
Our schools need to be prepared to meet our children where they are when they walk across the doorstep at school.
School Safety, Including Mental Health
Our schools and students are dealing with more issues than ever before. We need to ensure we are prioritizing the physical safety standards and procedures of our school buildings, while also identifying and addressing the mental health needs of our students.
Parent Engagement
No one has a greater impact on the lives of our students than their parents. I will ensure families feel welcome and supported by our schools and leadership.
Early Education
Students that are prepared for school are prepared for success. I will work to ensure that our Pre-K programs continue to expand their capacity and effectiveness, and work with our community to ensure that our families know about the valuable opportunity they have to start their young children in Dallas ISD beginning at 3 years old.
Teacher Retention
Education changes lives, but it doesn’t happen without our teachers. I will be an advocate for our educators and work to improve their quality of lives, compensation, and autonomy in the classroom.
College Career and Military Readiness
School is meant to be the foundation upon which our students can build a lifetime of success. I will ensure we are working with each of our students to identify and support their chosen pathways to success whether it be in the trades, college, or the military.
